growing up glamorous meant big
big hair, and bigger earrings, and sunglasses you could hide behind
it was driving with the windows down, the wind taking you far away
it meant lipstick and eyeshadow, and name brand clothing
glamorous was low slung belts over tunics and leggings
pumps and denim handbags

it came from music videos and my pink cassette playing FM radio
it was for "big girls" and i wanted it so bad

i'm still digging around for what glamour is for me these days...
