morning conversation

tomorrow morning i will wake up
my boy will come downstairs
he will eat his oatmeal
i will sneak in the a.m. news stories on the t.v. while he finishes breakfast
then he will ask me for candy
i will say "no"
he will say "how come?"
i will say "because it is not even 8:00 in the morning."
then he will reply "but we just went 'trick or treating' last night!"
this has been the morning talk in our house since Nov. 1st.
and a side note:
there is an enormous turkey in my fridge that is not thawing
and it's ugly

yes, turkeys are so ugly and fleshy when raw.
maybe you will have to have candy for thanksgiving... hee hee
okay that was a total joke because I would feel bad if that really happened. Then again, Martha Stewart is looking for Thanksgiving horror stories- this could be a winner...
(just jealous because I have never really gotten to 'do' thanksgiving or have the joy of a giant frozen bird in my fridge)
hahahahahaha...i can totally relate to the whole candy situation! sometimes i just want a snickers bar for breakfast too, so it's hard to explain the "why" part to my pleading son. good luck with you turkey. i've never bought or cooked one. i'm too chicken (hehe).
